Park Place is a residential subdivision which is located about three blocks west of Interstate 45 and is off Gladstell at Brad Park. Brad Park is the only entry or exit point to Park Place. Brad Park and McKay Park are the north/south streets and Melanie Park, Katie Lane and Christi Lynn Lane are the east/west streets.
The subdivision contains 70 lots, on which 68 houses currently are situated. Two owners have double lots and there are two lots which will be built on in the future. The subdivision was begun in 1995 as Section I. Section II was added as Section I was developed.
The Association is governed by a Board of Directors which is composed of three members. Two are elected in one year and the third is elected in the off year. Each serve a two-year term. The Architectural Control Committee is comprised of three members who are elected each year to serve one-year terms. The Annual Meeting of the Association is held on the second Saturday in January and has been held at the Rivershire Clubhouse which is close by. Board Meetings are held quarterly and the notice of these meetings is posted at the front entrance in the time prescribed by law.
The Association is responsible for the wood fence which runs the entire length of the subdivision on Gladstell. The entry has large brick columns on each side of Brad Park with three large lights on top with a flood light to illuminate the United States and Texas flags which are flown there. There are planters around the columns and a grass area approximately ten feet wide that runs the length of the subdivision along Gladstell and is maintained by the subdivision. The street lights in the subdivision are maintained by Entergy but the subdivision pays for the electricity.
